Judith  Sutton
Ms. Sutton is a Bucks County artist working in oil whose favorite subject matter is the beauty of everyday life.  Her fine art career follows 25 years as a New York illustrator of such books as The Coat of Many Colors, by Dolly Parton, published by Harper Collins and The Velveteen Rabbit, published by Golden Books. She has a B.S. in Art History from Hollins U. and a B.A. in illustration from the Academy of Art College.  She has also studied at the Art Students League, the School of Visual Arts, and the Sorbonne in Paris.  Having painted for many years in watercolor, Ms. Sutton changed her medium to oil after a summer spent studying plein air oil painting in Umbria, Italy  in 2007.  Since retiring from illustration work, she moved back to Bucks County where she had grown up, and has exhibited widely and won many awards including three from the annual Phillips' Mill Art Exhibition, and those from the Coryell Gallery and the Artsbridge juried shows.
